About Jazz Jubilee by the Sea
Every year Basin Street Regulars hosts “Jazz Jubilee by the Sea,” a world class traditional jazz festival held in beautiful Pismo Beach and Grover Beach. Traditionally held in October, the festival is moving to January in 2023 for a variety of reasons, including more economical hotel prices!
This festival has been successful each year since it began in 1976, with fans streaming in from all over the country and even the world. It is held for three days in five venues, including the Pismo Beach Veteran’s Memorial Building, the Edgewater Inn’s Skyroom, the Grover Beach Community Center, the Grover Beach Ramona Garden Park Center, and the Seacrest Hotel Banquet Room. Buses will get you to all the venues. Locally catered food and drinks are available at all locations except the Edgewater. We have dance floors at all venues, except the Edgewater, for your dancing pleasure! There are three-day badges, one-day badges, discounted badges for those under 30 years old and ½ price tickets after 5 PM each day. In addition, children 12 and under are free.
The festival is organized and operated solely by volunteers. This is a separate event from the Basin Street Regulars Sunday sessions. If you would like to be a Jubilee Volunteer, please call Nancy at 805-471-0895 or email her at email@example.com.
Revenue from the festival helps fund the monthly Basin Street Regulars Sunday Sessions as well as our Youth Programs. Badge sales alone do not cover the cost of the Jubilee. We need additional financial support to help us fund the Jubilee every year. Our supporters are entitled to special privileges, depending on their level of support. Where can I purchase badges at the Jubilee? Can I buy badges at the door? Badges can be purchased at the Pismo Vet’s Hall during the festival. Starting Thursday, 1/12/2023, 3:00-6:00 PM, badges are available at the Pismo Vet’s Hall Badges are not sold at all venues.
Where is Will Call? When can I pick up my badges? Will Call badges can only be picked up at the Pismo Vet’s Hall starting 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12th. Friday and Saturday, January 13th and 14th from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 PM.. Badges will be at the Vet’s Hall throughout the festival. Will Call is only available at the Pismo Vet’s Hall.
Can I buy badges at the Vet’s before Thursday? No, The Vet’s Hall does not open for the festival until 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 12th.
After purchasing a badge, can I upgrade to a Friend of the Jubilee, VIP, Diamond Sponsor or Band Sponsor a badge during or at the festival? Absolutely!
Refunds? If I am unable to attend after purchasing a badge or donating, can my purchase be refunded? Refunds are available with $15 service fee. (per order).
What is the procedure for people in wheelchairs? Please see a festival volunteer for help with wheel chair seating.
