Our Featured Band — The Sierra Stompers
The Stompers were formed in 2023 to celebrate California traditional jazz and have quickly earned a reputation as the Hottest Band on the West Coast! Howard, Marc and Paul bring the hard driving spirit of the High Sierra Jazz Band, along with a cast of top-flight musicians. Drummer Gareth Price adds his Clancy Hayes inspired vocals to the mix. Piano wizard Brian Holland, the sweet vocals of Katie Cavera, and the amazing Nathan Tokunaga on reeds make this a truly all-star lineup!
Intermission Band — The Decomposing Brass Quintet
The Decomposing Brass Quintet is comprised of brass players from the Friendly Neighborhood Big Band, with an occasional guest performer as a substitute. The formation of the group was the brain child of Mitch Latting, David Johns, and Danny Beher. They have been providing audiences with performances of great jazz standards, pop, Broadway, and movie themes. They have access to over 500 songs of various composers and arrangers. The band rehearses weekly and the band members have years of experience playing with various local groups including the Friendly Neighborhood Big Band, Starlight Dreamband, Central City Swing, Central Coast Brass, Estero Brass, Trumpet Alliance of Cuesta College, and Royal Garden Swing Orchestra of Cuesta College.
